Ever since I have embarked on this weight loss journey, I have been trying out a lot of ways which can help me to lose fat for weight loss. I have ultimately come to the conclusion that fat loss diets don’t work. But, having said that I have also understood that it is important to lose fat for weight loss.
How does one lose fat? Exercising is important but so is the nutrition. You need to ensure that you are not consuming a lot of fat in your diet. You should choose foods that are rich in protein but not too rich in carbohydrates and fats and have those in moderation too. I know people say that foods like popcorn etc. do not increase your weight but the truth is that these foods will not increase your weight as long as you exercise well. If you are leading a sedentary lifestyle, then these seemingly low fat foods can increase your weight in no time.
Following are some foods which if eaten in moderation, will help you to satisfy your hunger but not increase your weight.*
- Pineapple
- Peanuts (handful)
- Cucumber
- Bananas
- Oranges
- Ber
- Steel Cut Oats
- Eggs (without oil)
- Dals (Lentils) (Without Oil)
- Bajra Roti (Without Ghee)
- Idli (Home made, without oil)
- Green chillies
- Coffee (black without sugar)
