Sitting Jobs, Dedicated Employees, Cups of Tea and Weight Gain

In India, there is a tradition of drinking tea in the office. Mostly teas are heavily sweetened, endlessly brewed concoctions that are served to the employees atleast thrice a day. The sugar provides the much needed energy while the tea is the perfect cure for the fatigue or tiredness.

Tea has been an important part of our lives no doubt. Tea is popular drink world over. However, tea with excess sugar is a good recipe for diabetes and all kinds of problems.

To top it all, most offices dont encourage their employees to walk around, get out and exercise a bit. The result? The hardworking employees gain a big belly and a small bonus and empty words of praise.

If you are in a sedentary job , ensure that you walk around, even if it is to the chagrin of your coworkers or boss. After all, if you fall prey to obesity fueled diseases they will be the first to replace you! Don’t drink all that tea; instead go herbal or drink black coffee. Go home in time; doing excess overtime changes nothing but your health over time

If Covid has taught us anything, it is health first!
